TOURNAMENT VOLUNTEERS

We are extremely fortunate to have the longstanding tradition of our benefit Tournament as a fundraising avenue. Not only does the Tournament offer valuable competitive playtime, it also significantly reduces the per-player donation request for both Fall and Spring semesters. Family members and players are all expected to work shifts during these events. Signup lists are published early so that your family can plan your schedules accordingly. Family members are never expected to work on days when their player is competing; for example, a Junior Varsity family member would only sign up for shifts during Frosh/Soph or Varsity tournament days. These shifts include the following roles and duties:

  • Site Managers | Work closely with Tournament director and Tournament referees; provide and collect game sheets; fill in game brackets for spectators; assist with injured players
  • Site Cashiers | Collect monies for entrance fees and snack bar; hand out wrist bands; assist spectators with directions; promote team spirit
  • Snack Bar | Set up snack bar; sell items and collect monies
  • Referee Meals | Coordinate with site manager to deliver meals to the managers/referees who are working the Tournament
  • Clean Up and Break Down | All players will assist with tear down on the day of their Tournament

 

SCHOOL TERM VOLUNTEERS

There are additional volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Our Board of Directors includes five elected positions; additionally, there are a number of appointed Coordinator or Committee Chair positions. If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of our players, please do not hesitate to contact the current Board to inquire about these volunteer opportunities.
